Alabama Panhellenic Association (APA) has officially opened registration for the 2025 Primary Panhellenic Recruitment at the University of Alabama. Beginning May 1 and closing on July 17, the registration period invites incoming and current students to participate in Primary Panhellenic Recruitment. Recruitment will take place from August 9 through August 17.
As the largest Panhellenic recruitment in the country, the University of Alabama’s sorority recruitment draws thousands of potential new members (PNMs) annually. “Participating in the largest recruitment in the nation is no small feat,” said Reagan and Carson, APA’s Director and Assistant Director of Recruitment. “With it comes incredible experiences and relationships that we hope will positively impact your journey at UA.”
The APA oversees 18 National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) chapters and one affiliate chapter, providing structure and support for the recruitment process. Throughout the week of recruitment, PNMs have the opportunity to learn about the 17 chapters who participate in Primary Panhellenic Recruitment and have discussions with chapter members during the rounds of Recruitment.
The weeklong recruitment process includes multiple rounds of events—each designed to highlight different aspects of chapter life including philanthropy, sisterhood, academics, and leadership. Throughout the process, PNMs are supported by recruitment counselors (Rho Chis), who guide and mentor them every step of the way.
“The women that make up our 19 chapters are so excited to get to know you this week, learning more about your interests, goals, and vision for your college experience,” said Reagan and Carson. “They are also eager to share their chapter’s values, sisterhood, and memories with you.”
PNMs are encouraged to register online, where they will submit academic information, a resume, and a photo. PNMs are also required to submit a 60 second introductory video for chapters to view. From there, they will be placed in small Rho Chi groups to help navigate the week and meet other PNMs.
To register and learn more about the process, visit apa.ua.edu or reach out to the Panhellenic Executive Board at apa@ua.edu. The APA Executive Tent will also be present at Bryant-Denny Stadium during orientation events this summer for in-person support and information.
