Opened in 2023, Greek Assembly Hall serves as a vibrant and inclusive space dedicated to supporting the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) and the United Greek Council (UGC) at the University of Alabama. Designed for priority use by these councils, the facility hosts meetings, events, study sessions, and community gatherings. It also is a designated storm shelter, providing a safe space to the community.
Leading up to the front door is the NPHC Plaza, a tribute to the Divine Nine, built to commemorate the first NPHC Chapter, Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity Inc., coming to campus. The NPHC Plaza features monuments that proudly display the crests and Greek letters of each of the nine historically African American Greek-letter organizations, also known as the Divine Nine.
Together, Greek Assembly Hall and the NPHC Plaza serve as an on-campus space fostering belonging and connection that enriches the Greek experience. It is an integral part of our community’s fabric.
