Leadership and Involvement

One of the primary goals of the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life is to promote leadership and personal development among students involved in fraternities and sororities.

Students are encouraged to take advantage of all that membership in a Greek organization has to offer and apply to participate in the various leadership opportunities offered through the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life.

With representatives from all 4 councils, the Greek Ambassadors provide prospective students and their families with information on the Greek community. Greek Points

Greek Points were created to encourage the Greek community to foster relationships with members in different organizations other than their own. Greek Points provide the opportunity for students to do the following:

  • Participate in and attend educational opportunities, such as panel, trainings, etc.
  • Engage with students outside of their own chapter and build new relationships with one another.
  • Give back to the campus and University of Alabama community through service and philanthropic efforts.

The Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life does not require any individual members or chapters to earn Greek points or to attend events that are qualified for Greek points. Individual chapters, at their discretion, may set expectations for their members to earn Greek points, and members can earn such points by attending events of their choosing.
