NPHC Receives the Council Impact Award at SGLA

Tuscaloosa, Ala. — The University of Alabama’s National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC)recently earned recognition at the Southeastern Greek Leadership Association (SGLA) Annual Conference, receiving the Council Impact Award for its outstanding leadership, service, and community engagement.

The Council Impact Award recognizes Greek governing councils that demonstrate exceptional commitment to collaboration, inclusion, and measurable positive impact on their campus communities. The Alabama NPHC stood out for its dedication to fostering student leadership, civic engagement, and a strong sense of unity across campus.

SGLA is a regional leadership conference held annually for fraternity and sorority members across the Southeastern United States. It offers educational sessions, keynote speakers, and networking opportunities that empower student leaders to bring meaningful change to their Greek communities. The conference also serves as a platform for recognizing the achievements of outstanding councils and individuals in the fraternal movement.

In addition to the council-wide recognition, 2024 NPHC President Cameron Morgan was honored individually with the NPHC Member of the Year Award. This prestigious award is presented to a student leader who exemplifies the highest standards of character, service, and leadership within the NPHC community.

Cameron, who served as NPHC President throughout 2024, played a key role in advancing the council’s strategic priorities and strengthening campus partnerships. His recognition is a testament to his tireless dedication to the values of scholarship, leadership, and brotherhood/sisterhood.
