Tuscaloosa, Ala. – This fall, the Alabama Panhellenic Association (APA) brought smiles, costumes, and community spirit to the heart of campus with its annual Trick or Treat on Sorority Row event. This event welcomed families from across Tuscaloosa to participate in a fun and festive night of Halloween cheer.
Throughout the event, all 19 sorority chapters open their doors to the local community, offering yard games, photo opportunities, music, and of course—plenty of sweet treats.
“The goal of Trick or Treat on Sorority Row is to give back to the Tuscaloosa community in a way that is fun and family-friendly,” said APA Director of Community Outreach, Chloe Pickle. “Each year, we look forward to seeing families from all over the area come together on campus for this event. It’s a chance for us to show our appreciation for the community that supports us year-round.”
Each chapter decorates its lawn with themed displays ranging from spooky to silly, and members don creative costumes as they hand out candy and lead activities for children. Yard games like ring toss, pumpkin bowling, and bean bag toss offer fun for all ages, while costumed volunteers provide high-fives, photos, and smiles throughout the evening.
“The women that make up our 19 chapters are so excited to share this night with the Tuscaloosa community,” said Pickle. “Events like this remind us that being a Panhellenic woman is about more than our own experiences—it’s about outreach, involvement, and creating moments that matter for those around us.”
With another successful Trick or Treat on Sorority Row in the books, APA looks forward to continuing this tradition and finding new ways to connect with the Tuscaloosa community in the years to come.
